A tired, but more applicable than ever cliché, "don’t burn any bridges" is racing through my head. Why, you ask? Well, to begin with… the global news feels more like local news, the internet keeps us connected to anyone and everyone – shall I continue?

The political conventions are over, so now what?

Yes, both the Republican and Democratic conventions are officially a wrap, so what’s next for the public? Are we expected to think for ourselves, do our own fact checking as the date to vote looms in the near distance?

Yes, September does it to me every year. I get the itch to go shopping for school supplies – did anyone catch me at Office Max just the other day? As I wistfully looked at children and parents racing through the store with their lists in hand, buying their supplies and other goodies, my instinct was to pick up a few items for myself.
